About Us
Our philosophy is that every adult with a developmental disability should have the opportunity to live in a neighborhood-based home. Even people with moderate to severe behaviors and the need for assistance in completing daily skills can thrive through the implementation of individually designed programs by well-trained staff. Our purposes are:
To provide a warm, caring, and safe home.
To encourage and assist in developing interests and to interact with the community.
To encourage choice making and strengthen confidence.
To maintain and increase self-help, independent living, and socialization skills.
To reduce aberrant behaviors and teach appropriate and effective replacement skills.
To carry out our philosophies and achieve our goals we believe it will be important to maintain natural relationships, such as family and friends, and that everyone working in partnership will produce the best results. Our staff will be trained to use such instructional methods as praise, rewards, verbal and physical prompts, demonstration, hand-over-hand assistance, and counseling
